Why should the Church focus on human trafficking?

The figures speak volumes: In the U.S., there are 100-300k victims, and globally, a staggering 25 million (according to the ILO). Shockingly, 60% of U.S. victims are Black or Latino (as reported by the CBCF). This isn't just a moral dilemma; it's a lucrative industry, valued at $150 billion in the U.S. alone (according to Forbes). What's equally alarming is that approximately 65-95% of survivors and around 88% of traffickers have a history of abuse.
